UNESCO Territory

Our hazelnut groves embrace the Roero hills, an area inscribed together with Langhe and Monferrato in the Unesco Heritage Register. This confirms how man has been able to wisely integrate into the territory while maintaining its geo-morphological characteristics unaltered. The balance that has been created over the years between human presence and nature has resulted in the recognition of World Heritage.

The Unesco site includes very varied breathtaking views: hills planted with hazelnut groves and vineyards, medieval towers and castles, historic villages where you can stop, stroll and taste the traditional specialties of the area. In particular, Magliano Alfieri, seat of Agreasy, boasts the sumptuous Castle of the Alfieri family, one of the most important noble families of Asti.

This evocative territory has a perfect climate for the cultivation of Piedmont IGP hazelnuts: the hazelnut fears too hot and too cold; it prefers a mild and well-ventilated climate, without excessive seasonal changes, and loves fresh soils, not too clayey. Thanks to the sea breezes coming from Liguria, our areas are therefore the ideal environment for this type of crops.
